We’d like to introduce you to Team Umami - John Wayne and Amanda.
Team Umami, please share how you got started as we would love to know more about your story!
-John taught Amanda how to DJ 4 years ago, when they lived in Arizona. They came up with their DJ name Team Umami when coming up with a team name for a cheba hut contest. Umami meaning savory and delicious they decided to keep with this name and provide tasty beats for everyone in their DJ sets.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your brand?
-Their brand highlights the fact they are a team, and it is that way behind the decks and in life, plus they mix in so many different vibes, it's like different recipes or flavors, and all pallets are different, and they tend to cater to them all.
What are your goals as an artist?
-We both have our solo brands and have been more focused musically in those projects, especially BAELIEN. Our goal for Team Umami is to keep playing special occasions, and eventually we would like to create some LIVE PA sets utilizing instrumentation and releasing some original music.
