GET TO KNOW GUNPOINT BEFORE PLAYING MAYHAM 2023

We’d like to introduce you to GUNPOINT - Aviel Samuel.

GUNPOINT, please share how you got started as we would love to know more about your story!
-I started producing about 7 years ago during my freshman year of college when my friend took me to my first music festival, Lights All Night. I was blown away by everything, the music, the lights and visuals, the community of people, the energy of the crowd, it was truly an amazing experience! I have always been a huge music lover and even grew up playing piano for 10 years. When I first started producing I actually started off only DJing because I thought that was what they were doing on stage but I soon realized they were up there because they made the music they were playing. So I downloaded Ableton soon after and started my grind…

What are you most proud of when it comes to your brand?

-I am most proud of my music, I have worked so hard for years to get to where I am today, and there is still a lot of work to do but I am proud of the progress I've made so far. Aside from the music I do really love my name and the crosshair emblem associated with it. I feel like it encapsulated the music I want to put out into the world very well.

What are your goals as an artist?

-I want to make it to the top! I want to Headline all the biggest festivals and take my musical vision as far as it can possibly go – even start my own festival eventually. I want to inspire people the same way I was inspired by others. I want to help people, music has helped me so much in my life and gotten me through some tough times – so I would like to do the same for other people, giving them music to help them through whatever they are going through, even if it’s just an escape.

Any mixes and/or songs you would like to share?

-I have been addicted to the new Skeler mix (Night Drive Part 3). Also Imanu b2b Buunshin @ Secret Sky I’ve probably listened to 1,000 times. Music wise there is so much out there that I love it is hard to pick but an underrated artist that everyone should check out is OkayJake, he is insane!
